¿Who we are?
The club of
paragliders and paramotor "Kamikazes"
consists of a group of people who have discovered
that special feeling of freedom that Free Flight
Paragliding and Paramotor does. Our club is in great
growth and even flew to every corner of the island,
our classes to new pupils / students are held in the
towns of Barceloneta,
Isabela, Aguada, Lajas, Ponce, Cabo Rojo, Humacao,
Guayama
and Ceiba. Our group was formed to
2002, and his Creator Instructor
Luis Ruiz (Lic 1358 USPPA, Instructor) has
been flying paraglider from 1999-2000. We are the
first school-level certified USA, and we are also
corporation PARAPENTEPR.INC. Other
schools have been established on the island, whose
started points were at our school. But we are the
ORIGINAL AND MOST COMPLETE SCHOOL in
every way.
Always looking
forward to PROFESSIONALISM,
ETHICS AND HONESTY.
JUST
GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW YOU WHY WE ARE THE
MOST PREFERRED SCHOOL IN PUERTO RICO (OVER
20:1 !!!).
Our philosophy is to help discover new horizons for
everyone who wants to experience these exciting
experiences, but LOOOKS, is highly addictive !!!!.
Among our objectives are the understanding and
respect for the environment and nature, to encourage
healthy living, sports, making friends and having a
good time in the company enjoying the wonderful
world of mountains, clouds and air, all with
security as we do.

What is a sport of
paraglider?
The
paraglider was born in the late 70's as an
outgrowth of the use of parachutes to descend from
mountains with steep slopes, hence the name "para-glider."
The first paragliders were mostly climbers looking
for an easy way down from the heights once they had
reached, but its evolution towards true
gliders capable of catching the rising thermals,
rise and stay aloft for hours converted to
paraglider in a sport in itself, recreational and
competitive, now played by thousands of people
around the world and has circuits high level
competition for its two disciplines, distance or
flight 'cross-country' and acrobatics
.
Despite being
considered an "extreme" sport paragliding involves
no great physical demands to learn to fly and it is
possible to maintain a high level of security on all
flights, as long as they learn to fly in a good
school, subsequently improving own knowledge and
ability in the air, in addition to using the
equipment best suited to each individual.
The team consists of the wing, a structure of
self-inflatable lightweight fabric that resembles a
parachute (though with higher aspect ratio and
size and a more complex structure),
consisting of several cells open at one end which
allows it to fill air and that the structure
maintain an aerodynamic shape to enable the lift in
the air, such as airplane wings, "and so fly. The
glider is attached by thin strings of highly
resistant material to a harness in which the pilot
is sitting has a control in each hand, when pressing
the back of each half-wing, allows you to vary the
flight path.
What is a
paramotor?
The PPG is
the easiest way to light aircraft there, one of the
safest, and also the lowest cost. Consists
of flying through the lift provided by a glider
(glider fabric) and the propulsion provided by a
small motor with a propeller on the back of the
pilot, a device also called a paramotor. All
the equipment weighs about 32-40 kg, and most fit in
the trunk of a normal car.
The ability to fly low and slow, feel 'open'
the flight, portability, low equipment costs and
maintenance, plus good margins of safety that can
fly, are considered the most deserving of the
Paramotor. Is fun, visitors can enjoy
walking on the most beautiful scenery to enjoy a
nearly 360-degree view and can be practiced almost
anywhere.
The sport originated in France in the late
80's, when some paragliders began to adapt
their equipment engines glider to take off from flat
areas away from the mountains. Some of those
pioneers are now leaders of the main European
factories PPG, and the machines have evolved from
the first (and heavy) units adapted short-grass
engines today use many other specially designed for
flight. Paragliders have become more reliable and
lightweight, about 2 times and even some 4-stroke,
and as special gliders are manufactured for use in
propulsion weight stronger, safer and more
appropriate characteristics such
flight.
Most PPG pilots are men
older than 30 years, but no sex or age limits from a
minimum height and weight, is a sport played by men
and women in many countries around the world and
already has a circuit of
high-level competition.
It also begins to
develop a modality 'freestyle' in which privileges
the WIG and acrobatic maneuvers.
Because the joint is a paramotor glider
(glider) and motor, if the engine fails or goes off
there is no problem because they will continue
planning and in free flight. The only thing
is that no engine is not up and, unless the pilot is
able to find a natural descent, should find a good
place and land.
