CURRENT NEWS

Monday, May 7, 2012: After a long car trip of 10 hours from Miami to Panama City Beach, we arrived to the event of "Beach Blast" this year. Departing from Miami as we give a visit to our friends from Aerolight, Jose and Javier Casaudomecq, who are sponsoring the paramotor of Luis Ruiz for the competence of pylons, a motor Aerolight BD Propulse Vittorazi Moster of 26 HP . First day of the event and the organization first and surprising camaraderie prevailed, that apart from the rivalry and competition that lies ahead as each manufacturer wants its equipment are represented on the day of awards and therefore in the various magazines that make Event promotion . The climate, facilities, and the flight area just perfect laminar wind coming from the sea, miles and miles of flight area, a lot of tourism and all eager to have fun, Luis Ruiz conducted two flight tests and adjustments today, mostly by adjusting his speed bar, we noted that the speed of flight with the Dudek Plasma 22, is among the top competitors, above and / or similar that Dudek Hadron and Paramania GTR, so touching to see how get the "pylons" the event and have not yet installed. We could see the high level of flight of the teams . Soon we hope to Luis Pabon, Luis David Cruz and Rafael Guerrero will join Luis Ruiz as part of the Puerto Rican team.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012: This week the rain has not given us options to practice for competition "Beach Blast" in Panama City, Florida, the "Slalom" competition begin on Wednesday 9 with the finals on Saturday 12 we hope to look good in it. Many outstanding competitors to compete, we'll see ... among Puerto Rican pilots confirmed to attend the event are separate from Luis Ruiz, Luis Pabon, Luis David Cruz, Rafael Guerrero, Lymari Barreto, Gilbert Avila and possibly Ismael Roberto. You will have up to date with pictures and videos of the activity. Meanwhile we also share 2 news I understand are beneficial to the promotion of our club and one for our island as a tourist destination, and then after we return from Florida event have yet to make a TV documentary which showed off the beauty International of our country, and as part of the interviews that undertake various activities on the island, we show by our sport in turn flying the beautiful beaches that we have more details soon. The other thing we share is that people from "Puente On Line Puerto Rico," we are giving promotion of our sport on the island, for all who want to learn the sport or take a FLY along the Club "Kamikazes" to more details visit, www.puenteonlinepr.com.

Saturday, April 28, 2012: High winds and rain prevail for the whole island, and looking at options to fly, our Club "Kamikazes" moved this time to Punta Santiago in Humacao, where we expected despite strong winds, the probability of rain was small and had opportunities to fly when in any other part of Puerto Rico the probability was zero. Arrived at Humacao, local Fernando Herrera, Luis Ruiz, Jessica Cruz, Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther, David de Jesus and family , his cousin Benjie and family, Monchy Cruz, his son Nomar and family, Damaris Hernandez and possible new student Luis López natural from Fajardo. There was not much to do as it winds though but remained consistent between 18 to 25 mph which complicated the output much fly, especially with that intensity of winds, the launch area looked small in case of having to abort an output. So things just fly out to Luis Ruiz practicing with his Dudek Plasma 22 for the Florida event next week and Fernando Herrera with his Dudek Nucleon 25, both flew smoothly with its faster gliders, Monchy decided not to fly, and I had commitments which could not stay long in the area and Eduardo wisely gave up the idea. What we did was tie the right kite flying (Benjie, David and families) and do our traditional game of dominoes with Eduardo and Esther who this time out go for the win, very happy that Esther that Eduardo was more focused on the party that in the past. In the end we picked up relatively early tomorrow to see if open top flight opportunities that we had today.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012: Without much planning went into the afternoon at the Beach "Las Criollas" of Barceloneta, where we met several pilots to take advantage of the north winds of flight options "cross". Leo Roman arrived there, his brother "Toly", Luis Ruiz and a little later Eduardo Pabon. Everything looked good except for a large and active cloud bringing rain from Manati and Florida and threatened to come to the beach. So things Toly was the first out, smooth off without incident, followed by his brother Leo, and then Luis Ruiz followed them to fly with his paraglider Dudek Plasma 22 who plan to use to compete next month in the event of paragliders "Beach Blast" of Panama City in Florida. Luis says that the speed of the glider is impressive achievement to get 43 mph "Full Bar" in winds from zero miles, (we'll see how he fared in competition with gliders of the same caliber). While they were all in the air, the cloud was already approaching the town of Barceloneta and gradually approached "Las Criollas" Toly and Leo decided to land just before the rain reached them while Luis opted to start dodging and hope that the cloud broke up, (to keep the possibility of flying over the town of Barceloneta). This decision forced him to go fly to Arecibo fleeing to the cloud, from 5:50 PM to 6:20 PM was dodging the rain between the Indian Cave, the Gasoline Beach Club and around the cloud dispersed, to 6:20 PM o'clock it was noted that the town of Barceloneta and was no rain so that Luis crossed the rain and arrived to the town where conditions were optimal (impressive input and output of a downpour) of last flew over the Leo and Toly's house who had arrived after saving equipment, while Eduardo waited in "Las Criollas", even with the Plasma 22 "Trimmers" closed flying between 31 to 35 mph all the way, and it's amazing the distance can be done in no time, while a source of concern the ever present Plan B, of having to land with this toy that flies so fast in wet ground as was all the people and also "Las Criollas", which was maintained at height wise at all times, at about 6:50 PM Luis decided to land in "Las Criollas" the ground is wet and caution under the paramotor off and landing skiing until he could run without problems. Thinking back tomorrow to continue the practice for the Florida event.

Friday 20 and Saturday April 21, 2012: First of all we congratulate the pilot "Kamikaze" Dimas Ruiz and his wife Deli, at the birth of her third child, Alexander Ariel Ruiz Aviles, CONGRATULATIONS! On behalf of the Club " Kamikazes" the family is growing!! now the news, two days of fly in the town of Barceloneta, where despite not having excellent flying conditions, but as we fly and enjoy. Without much planning, reported on Friday and later found pilots "kamikaze" Pablo Cruz, Eduardo Pabon and Luis Ruiz, the meeting place was the open area in front of the athletics track in the town of Barceloneta, were there from 5:30 PM and after couple of inflated glider, it was decided to fly up. First out was Eduardo, while Pablo decided to do a tandem flight with a neighbor and friend of Hatillo, called Misael and Luis successfully assisted them to the public that was given appointment to see the flights, Luis also subsequently left to fly and kept flying through the area of the dikes, and Pablo came with Misael to the area of the beach. On Saturday, pilots met again in Barceloneta, this time in the beach area "Las Criollas" where Luis was flying apart from teaching the young man of 10 years, Darrel Ian Gonzalez after noon the wind increased in intensity at about 20 mph and decided to pick up early to prepare for better weather for tomorrow.

Sunday, April 8, 2012:
Climate excellent beaches full, so our paths were bound for "Middles" in Isabela, to keep flying all the coasts full of tourists. We arrived in the afternoon, Luis Ruiz, Papo Quinones, Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther, Ivan Torres, who came flying in glider (no motor) from the mountain next to his house and Vicente Lopez, who did not fly for some time and shared with us and who was attending Boston personal affairs. Luis Ruiz take several flyes besides personal enjoyment and good quality, Esther took a fly with him and came up with a high quality camera to take great photos, while her husband Eduardo was flying the Ozone Speedster, and like others who have tried it, was amazed by the displacement of the glider in the air. Meanwhile, we mentioned that Ivan made his way flying without engine! As far as we were gathered, and as he did???, It turns out that Ivan has become a master of free flight and being in the Farallon, waited patiently with his glider ready to go, a window of north winds that appear This caught and released around the Farallon until achievement of over 800 meters fly away to get right next to us at "Middles". Finally, Vicente took months without flying, partly by being outside the country, surprised us with his visit, and an excellent takeoff and landing went flying in his Trike Power Gold motor and paragliding faithful Paramania Revolution. At the end everyone is happy collecting and preparing to start this week.

Saturday, April 7, 2012:
After a break for Good Friday, we returned to the charge on Saturday and left early to "Las Criollas" of Barceloneta where conditions were ideal to be flying all day, there we Luis Ruiz, Nixon Porrata, Pablo Cruz and his wife Milly, Gustavo Verta, Jorge Fontanez and the general public. The initial take-off difficult due to the low intensity of the winds, Nixon went very easy, and was followed with some difficulty by Pablo and Gustavo, these were "cross" towards the town of Hatillo, the field came flying pilots Nelson Ramos, Jesus and Japheth Rivera  who traveled the "Cross" from Hatillo, and even today also came flying to "Window Cave" in Arecibo. Jorge for his part, was giving strong practices paraglider inflation front, and did surprisingly well, though with much sweat and that this practice is quite strong. At about 1:30 PM we went to lunch and then we went to fly on "Middles" of Isabela, where we arrived about 3 pm and had just flown Dimas Ruiz, this time we had a full house of pilots and friends of the Club, Noel Vale, Luis Ruiz, Nixon Porrata, Pablo Cruz, Anibal Cuevas, Ivan Torres and Luis Pabon. The weather just could not get any better and all of a fly, at a given time were Pablo, Ivan, Noel and Luis Pabon flying on the way to Tunnel Guajataca in Quebradillas, where several, including Pabon took pictures and videos, Luis commented that "this area is Guajataca the best out there in Puerto Rico to visit by air," and these are big words since Luis Pabon has flown almost all the coasts of Puerto Rico. While this was going on Isabela, on Cubuy, Canóvanas (with landing in Las Piedras), met several pilots "kamikaze" and lovers of Free Flight, Fernan Lassalle, Magda Prats, David De Jesus, Oscar Guerrero Dario Verta and others to take advantage Paradise conditions in the area, several pilots there taking advantage of thermals to climb to over 3,000 ft high. David using a new tandem paragliding (APCO Play 42) of Fernan, took flying around Magda who looked very smiling and apparently I enjoy the most, and why David gave few acrobatics as they descended. After this there is still Sunday, so we'll see how the energy to go one more day flight before returning to official duties.

Thursday, April 5, 2012:
And the Club "Kamikazes" went to the East Area, this time at the beach "Machos" Ceiba, where the flight conditions were excellent all day. Until there came Luis Pabon, Luis Ruiz, Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther, Fernando Herrera, Rafael Guerrero, Lymaris with the prospective student club Pedro Rodriguez, and the general public interested in the sport. The excellent flying conditions throughout the day, which was seized by Eduardo, then followed by Luis Pabon, Luis Ruiz and Fernando eventually. It was nice to see Eduardo practice their "Touch & Go" over and over again, Fernando showing how much has progressed in the sport, Luis Pabon as simply a master fly at will. Having said all that, Luis Ruiz began to fly Let several people, starting with the prospective student Pedro Rodriguez, who was very happy with your flight, then it was the turn of Vivian, born in Ceiba who had flown in the past with us, and then the PPG of  Luis began to trouble, and just when things did not look good because Luis had only taken a paramotor, Eduardo agreed to loan to meet your paramotor flights were outstanding and things and the method "Foot Launch" Luis gets Vivian fly again, after her friend Michelle who was the passenger # 999 of Luis in his demo flight history, and after many years of flying passengers, Luis came to the figure of 1,000 people flown, the passenger was a young 10-year-old from Ceiba, Hector Manuel Maldonado, who fully enjoy your flight, this flight after Luis performed 2 additional flights, and as Fernando, Rafa and Luis Pabon came flying towards the Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo and its surroundings, and ended up having dinner to close one day of flights and healthy share of the Club "Kamikazes".

Tuesday, April 3, 2012: Some days and some days, and today was one of those days which was a sin not to fly because of how beautiful it was to be walking in the air all day. So pilots who sometime complain that no-fly time and have no conditions to do so, we recall that in fact there are days it is a matter to be pending and ready for when they get the same are well used . And if it were took David de Jesus and Dario Verta in the mountains of Cubuy in Canóvanas, landing in Juncos and Las Piedras, Luis Pabon and Jan Pfeiffer in the area of Fajardo, Luis, out of Icacos (coming soon videos of this adventure ), Luis Ruiz and Pablo Cruz along the coast northwest of Isabela, Aguadilla and Quebradillas, Fernan Lassalle and Ivan Torres on Farallon of Isabela, and we were looking forward to continue flying, but still have a lot of Easter to render to God, and enjoy the beautiful moments that this brings. Many things we give thanks and this is one of them. Take this opportunity to congratulate the pilot "Kamikaze" Rodolfo Ceinos who in this day birthday, CONGRATULATIONS!.

Monday, April 2, 2012: Continuing good conditions for flying in the afternoon back towards Isabela to meet the pilots "kamikaze" Fernan Lassalle  and Ivan Torres, who expected better to fly from Farallon. Unfortunately for them, the wind crossed from the West and it was able to fly in just a paramotor. This was used by Nixon Porrata and Luis Ruiz to fly around and take videos of different beaches that were full of tourists despite being Monday. Also gathered prospective students of the Club, Edwin Collazo (Utuado) and family, and Miguel Torres (Aguadilla), who incidentally, went flying around with Luis, after it emerged that Luis do 2 flights of additional passengers tourists roamed the area, which added to the flight of Miguel added the amount of 995!! Tandem flights made, (only 5 to 1.000). At the end of dinner all pilots and preparing for tomorrow afternoon northerly winds that promise to flights in Farallon.

Sunday, April 1, 2012: After several days again have very bad weather to practice our sport again opened a great window to fly all day, and it was the ideal place Voladero "Middles" of Isabela, where several pilots Club "Kamikazes" gathered to share with family and fly almost all day. We can mention among those present to Jose "Viva" Mendez, Dimas Ruiz, Pablo Cruz and his wife Milly, Berto Garcia, Luis Ruiz, Damaris Hernandez, Fernan Lassalle and Magda Prats, Ivan Torres, Rodolfo Ceinos, Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther, Papo Quinones, plus Ultralight pilots Carlos Diaz and Javier "Nano" Suarez who arrived in their "Quick Silver", and the general public that made a date to share with us. As mentioned earlier, paradisiacal condition to fly early in the day, Ivan, Fernan and Rodolfo attempted to perform Free Flight in the Farallon  but the conditions were not for that, so they went down to "Middles" and joined with the rest of the group to fly paramotor. For the soft wind good technique required for takeoff, but each and every one of the pilots who flew, Pablo, Eduardo, Berto, Viva, Dimas, Ivan Fernan, Luis and Rodolfo!, We did take off the front with no problems . And as mentioned Rodolfo was the first time he fly a paramotor, and was very happy about that, CONGRATULATIONS!. Just as all that went up for very long time before the weather so beautiful that we had. Luis Ruiz 5 flights performed tandem with these leads to 992 made just 8 of the impressive mark of 1,000 passengers flown on their record. Furthermore we learned that Luis Pabon try to arrived to Isabela in flight "cross" but a slight mechanical problem aborted the idea, just as we congratulate Rafa Guerrero who made his first flight tandem with his girlfriend Lymaris Barreto, this in Hatillo, CONGRATULATIONS!.
